Monday, 3 April 1843 : M. Mortier De Fontaine's Soirée Musicale at Les Salons De M. Erard.

Van-der-Perren. La soirée se terminera par le célèbre concerto de J. S. Bach, pour trois pianos, exécuté par MM. Mortier, Hallé et Lindsay-Sloper, brillant élève de Moschelès. Tuesday, 4 April 1843 : Miss Robena Anne Laidlaw's Concert at Pleyel's Salons.

Music in Paris.- (From a Correspondent.) - One of the most attractive and brilliant concerts of the season, took place last Tuesday evening in Pleyel's Salons. The announcement alone, that it was an English Artiste, was sufficient to excite the curiosity of a Parisian public. Miss Robena Anne Laidlaw, pianist to her late Majesty the Queen of Hanover, being on her route to Brussels, the Hague, Germany, and St. Petersburgh, performed a variety of compositions, both of the old and new school. Those which seemed to please most, from the masterly and finished manner in which they were executed, were of the former- the grand Sonata in F minor of Beethoven; and, of the latter, Ossian's storm song, " la Campanella," and "les delices du Printemps." The fair beneficiaire was assisted by a host of artists, among whom I may mention Mesdames de Lotano, Smith, and Anais Duval; Signors Campagnoli, Morelli, and M. Fleury. There was another feature in this concert, viz. a solo on the violin by the young Apollinaire de Kontski, the same who visited London when only eleven years of age. During the few days that Miss Laidlaw has been in Paris, she has performed at the Duchess Decaze's, and many other private parties. The Duchess of Orleans, takes a warm interest in the success of our countrywoman. Mr, Lindsay Sloper conducted the concert. (Morning Post, Tuesday, 11 April 1843)
