It is but seldom that Lindsay Sloper strays into the beaten path of transcribers, He has been tempted thither by Charles Gounod's admired and never tiresome serenade, "La Berceuse," which he has transcribed for the pianoforte most tastefully avec deux variantes, as the title-page tells us.
