bullet  Noted events in her life were:

• Court: Inquest on fire at Regentville House near Penrith, 27 May 1869, Parramatta, NSW. Regentville House was the property of John Shiels and his wife. Present in the house at the time of the fire and giving evidence was Mrs McLean, "mother of Mrs. Shiels". Mr. Shiels had been at his other property, Woodford House, "accommodation for the public" at Eighteen mile Hollow. Also at Woodford that night was "my sister-in-law Jane Mclean"

Eliza married Edward McLEAN, son of Hugh McLEAN and Isabella, in 1847 in Sydney, NSW.182 (Edward McLEAN was born about 1817 in Stranorlar, Co Donegal, Ireland,183 died on 6 Mar 1853 in Balmain, NSW 68,184 and was buried on 8 Mar 1853 in Sydney, NSW 195.)
