Marriage to be between Robert Atkinson and Sarah Paget. Marriage portion paid by James Paget to Robert Atkinson. Witmessed by Thomas Paget of Fahy, Mayo Esq. and Charles Atkinson of Sallymount.

4 Monumental inscription, St. Michael's Church, Ballina, County Mayo - tombstone. "Here are likewise deposited the remains of Dr. Robert Atkinson who died at Ballina on January 28th 1878 aged 84 years
And Sarah his wife who died on March 30th 1877 aged 68 years, parents of surgeon Thomas Atkinson.
And also the remains of Thomas Atkinson M.D. Inspector General of Hospitals who died at Ballina on 26th November 1875 aged 75 years".
