Michael FORSTER
Michael worked for the Colonial Office and was in the Solomon Islands during the war and then in Sarawak for many years as District Officer and then District Commissioner. He came to visit "Enniscrone" in about 1950. HAP thought he seemed to be suffering from malaria or something debilitating that recurred. HAP liked him, but Hilda and Peg disliked him for some reason. He had a son with a local woman (from Sarawak? or somewhere else in SE Asia?) who later made contact with us to find out about his father. Michael Beatty is named after him. |
